Summer is in full swing! We are mid-way through our concert series; complete details are found below. Registration continues for some summer programs such as swim lessons, ramp camps and soccer. Private swim lessons are now offered at the Greenwich Pool in Byram Park. Registration for many fall sports programs for youth and adults has begun. For residents in financial need, scholarships are available for youth programs; read more below. For a listing of upcoming community events in August and September,
click here. The BWGCC is hosting a
movie night on Monday, August 19. Read about our successful
Sandblast Sand Sculpture Contest.

Fall Adult Sports - Pickleball
& Volleyball
We have several opportunities for play for our pickleball enthusiasts.
Indoor Pickleball is offered on two days per week at the EGCC in Old Greenwich. Outdoor
Fall Pickleball is offered on Tuesdays at Loughlin Avenue Park in Cos Cob on the tennis courts. For those with limited or no pickleball experience, we offer
Instructional Clinics on two days per week, also at Loughlin Avenue Park courts.
The fall season is also the start of our
Co-ed Adult Volleyball League. An informational meeting will be held at the BWGCC in Glenville on Wednesday, September 4.

Fall Youth Sports - Soccer, Softball, Field Hockey & Baseball
We have a variety of sports offered this fall for youth. Children ages 3-9 years old can play
Co-ed Soccer on Saturdays at Benvenuto Field at Cos Cob Park. Also, in cooperation with
Soccer Extreme we have a
soccer program for youth ages 4-12 years old on Fridays.
Specifically for girls, we will be offering a new
Fall Softball program for ages 10-13. Girls and boys in grades 1-8 can register to play
Field Hockey which will be held on Sundays at Benvenuto Field at Cos Cob Park. For boys ages 8-12, we offer fall
Baseball Clinics.

Summer Swim Group Lessons
are offered for youth from ages four and up at the Greenwich Pool in Byram Park. Eight, one-half hour group lessons will be held on Mondays through Thursdays with a rain date of Friday, for two consecutive weeks. Register for classes running August 5-15.
Private Swim Lessons
are also available during the same days and times.

Summer Sports
In cooperation with
Soccer Extreme, we are offering
Summer Clinics for youth ages 4-12. Ages 4 and 5 play from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and ages 6-12 play from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. One week remains from August 5 - 9. Register now!
Adults who already know how to play pickleball can register for our

Cos Cob Community Preschool
Registration is open for the
Cos Cob Community Preschool 2019-2020 year. Classes are held Monday-Friday, and will operate for a longer day from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at 54 Bible Street in Cos Cob. The Preschool is licensed by the State of CT and is reasonably priced. For information,

Greenwich Skatepark
Save the date of Saturday, September 7 for the
Go Skate Festival. The event is FREE, but participants must register.
Through August, the Skatepark is open weekdays from 3:30 - 7 p.m. and weekends 12:30 - 7 p.m. Download a schedule of
hours and fees. The park is located at the foot of
Arch Street. We have Information on

Eastern Greenwich Civic Center
The EGCC has several on-going programs including Stroller Strides, Greenwich Archery, Wednesday Painters, Pickleball, and more. Call 203-637-4583 for open gym hours. Bendheim Western Civic Center
Co-ed Adult Volleyball is available on a drop-in basis on Thursday evenings from 7 - 9 p.m.
Yoga classes and
Zumba classes are offered on several weekdays at varying times.
Boot Camp sessions are available Tuesdays and Thursdays. Pickleball is offered for adults on a drop-in basis on Wednesday evenings 7-9 p.m. and Sunday afternoons from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Dorothy Hamill Indoor Turf
Looking for a place to hold a sports practice or birthday party? The Dorothy Hamill Rink is available for
indoor turf rentals now through mid-August by reservation. The turf can be used for lacrosse, soccer, whiffle ball, flag football, T-ball, and more. If you are interested, please
email. The rate is $50 per hour as of July 1.

Greenwich Farmers' Market
The
Greenwich Farmers' Market is open for the season at the commuter parking lot on the corner of Arch Street and Horseneck Lane. The market will be held on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Remember to bring your reusable shopping bags.
Commuters, do not park in the first several rows adjacent to Arch Street on Saturday mornings!

National Alliance for Youth Sports
Greenwich Recreation is a member organization of
NAYS. We provide free training through the NAYS website to our staff and volunteers and any resident interested in learning how to make sports better for youth. For their latest news and updates,

Scholarships for Youth
The Parks and Recreation Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to income eligible resident families for participation in youth activities.
Scholarship applications must be submitted a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the start of the program.

Stamford JCC offers many inclusive programs throughout the year. Call 203-487-0946 for information.
Abilis meets the needs of people with developmental disabilities. Their events are posted on their
website calendar.
Greenwich Special Olympics offers sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual or physical challenges.

Credit & Refund Policy
Credit requests for recreation program registration will be considered if received in writing prior to the start of the program. There is a $15.00 administrative fee for credits. The general policy of the Recreation Division is that we do not process refunds unless a program has been cancelled. Please read all registration information carefully and contact us prior to registering for a program if you have any questions.

Parks and Recreation Foundation
The
Greenwich Parks and Recreation Foundation was set up to receive donations, allowing the community citizens and businesses an avenue to donate to the Town of Greenwich Parks & Recreation projects and programs. The foundation is a 509 (a)(1).
