The Concord site of America’s Job Center of California (AJCC) will reopen its doors for in-person services on Sept. 14, 2021 for:

  • Self-guided job search (computers, copier, fax, phones, unemployment insurance (UI) phones)
  • Staff assistance connecting eligible customers to WIOA individualized services, including assessment, career planning, job training and more

Immigration is driving population growth in Contra Costa County, and immigrants' spending power has helped revitalize local businesses, according to a report recently released by the New American Economy. In addition, immigrants are helping the county meet its rising labor demand in the STEM sector. Titled New Americans in Contra Costa County, the report was prepared in partnership with Contra Costa County Employment & Human Services and Contra Costa Health Services.

The California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program is scheduled to begin taking new applications Sept. 9 through Sept. 30, 2021, for Round 9 of the program. Grant awards will be between $5,000 and $25,000.
