Head of School Update

Brice Richards

Dear CCS Parents,

As we begin the sprint to the end of the school year, I would like to provide you with importation information regarding our 2026-2027 school year.

Beginning in August 2026, there is one significant update: an early dismissal every Wednesday for all grades. On these days, lower school students will dismiss at 2:00 PM, and grades 5th–12th will dismiss at 2:15 PM.

This adjustment provides dedicated weekly time for our faculty and staff to engage in professional development and meaningful collaboration. To maintain the standard of excellence you expect from CCS, and to continue raising that bar, it is essential that we invest in the ongoing growth of our educators.

I understand that an earlier dismissal requires adjustment at home, and I want to support your family through this transition. To assist with your scheduling, all athletics, arts, and clubs that typically meet after school will begin immediately following the early dismissal on Wednesdays. KidzConnect after-school care will also be available at that time for all registered students.

It is our hope and prayer that this schedule will not only strengthen our academic programs but also allow extracurricular activities to conclude earlier in the evening, giving your students more time for dinner, family, and midweek opportunities like youth group.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for your support of our mission at CCS. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Blessings,

Brice Richards
