Leadership Update

Donald Snider

Dear Concord Families,

Thank you for a wonderful start to the 2026–2027 school year! Our halls are full of energy, vibrant learning, and God’s presence, and we are grateful for your continued partnership and support in making these opening weeks such a blessing.

I am writing to share an important milestone for our school community. Beginning Sunday, September 13, an accreditation visiting team from ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and Cognia will be on campus for a four-day visit to evaluate our K-12th grade program, our International Student program, and for the very first time—our Preschool program!

This visit represents the culmination of extensive preparation. Over the past year, our administrators, teachers, and staff completed a comprehensive self-study report. Using school data, survey responses, and observations, our team carefully reviewed each domain of our school to reflect on our core strengths and outline strategic goals for the future.

What to Expect During the Visit

  • Classroom Observations: Team members will visit classrooms across all divisions to observe daily learning and instruction.
  • Focus Group Interviews: The team will meet with members of our Board, faculty, staff, student body, and parent community to gather insight on our campus culture and academic programs.
  • Formal Recommendation: At the conclusion of their visit on Wednesday, September 16, the team will present a formal recommendation regarding our accreditation renewal.

Next Steps

  • Commission Vote: The ACSI Accreditation Commission will officially vote on the team’s recommendation during their December meeting.
  • School Notification: ACSI will notify Concord of our official multi-year renewal shortly after the December vote.

This process is a standard part of our commitment to continuous improvement, a milestone we last completed together in 2021. More than anything, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on how God has blessed Concord and to highlight the growth and excellence happening across our campus every day.

No special preparation is needed from our families. Simply continue to be the warm, encouraging community that makes Concord such a special place to belong. We look forward to sharing the heart of our school with our guests.

Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support as we welcome the visiting team this Sunday!

Pressing on together,

Donald Snider

We kindly ask that if you have any concerns or if we did not meet your expectations, please reach out to Angela Keathley directly by email or phone. CCS is happily opening its doors to welcome homeschooled students as part of their program and to integrate them as much as possible. We are committed to making this a positive experience for everyone, and your feedback is invaluable as we grow together.

Umbrella/Tuition Payments

We apologize for the delay in sending out our billing statements. Please know that no payment is late—this delay is entirely on our end due to some set-up and connection issues. Your first payment will be due on September 15th. We appreciate your grace as we get everything in order.

School Picture Day – September 15th

Homeschool students may have their photos taken between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Arrival & Security

  • Please enter through the Gathering Space (the weekday entrance).
  • All parents must go through security. Have your driver’s license ready.

Forms

  • Please complete a separate form HERE for each student before picture day.
  • Students must be registered in order to have their photos taken.
  • These photos are for your use only. Homeschool umbrella students will not be in the CCS yearbook. With the number of students we have, the cost rises A LOT. Therefore we are pursuing other options.

Seniors

If you plan to participate in graduation, you must have a formal graduation photo.

The make-up day for senior portraits will be 7:30 a.m. on 9/15/26 in the Chapel. Please make sure your senior is on time so that this can be completed before the start of school. Girls should wear a camisole shirt underneath their school uniform that can easily be adjusted for the formal drape photo. Boys should wear a plain white shirt underneath their uniform for their formal tux photo.

There is a $35 sitting fee that can be paid at the time of portraits with a card or cash.

Annual Counselor Meeting Requirement - 9th - 12th students ONLY

All high school students and their parents are required to meet with the high school counselor once per year.

Register for University Model HS: Registration

Educational Freedom Scholarship Information

We are an umbrella program registered with the State of Tennessee as a Category IV non-public school and are also a University Model High School. Because of this classification, we cannot accept Educational Freedom Scholarships (EFS)—those are reserved for Category I, II, and III schools. A Category IV umbrella program will never be eligible to use EFS. We are beginning the accreditation process to become a Category II for the Upper Middle school, which will allow us to accept EFS funding in the future. We are NOT eligible at this time.

Sports Eligibility

K - 7(8) students, please watch the newsletter for sporting opportunities high school students, because we are regulated by TSSAA, only students who are registered in our UMS program or paying full UMS tuition are eligible to try out and play sports for CCS.

  • All visitors must enter through the weekday entrance on the church side.
