The Concord Connection

9/11 Prayer Service

This Sunday, September 11, 2022, marks the 21st anniversary of one of the most devastating and impactful events in the history of the United States.

The events of 9/11 forever changed our country. One of the lasting impacts of this tragic day is an increased appreciation for our First Responders.

We invite you to join us this Sunday, September 11th, for our 10:30am worship service as we show appreciation for our First Responders and join together in a special time of remembrance and prayer on this special day.

Over the last few weeks, you may have noticed this phrase, “Concord on Mission,” in our weekly Concord Connect newsletter and wondered, “what does that mean”? Concord Church has a full and rich legacy of mission support and involvement. As we continue to build on and expand our participation in missions, we want to use the terminology “Concord on Mission” or “COM” to remind us that our part in God’s Mission is active. We actively choose to give as the Lord leads us to share. Likewise, we actively choose to give of our time and talents to serve in a local mission or ministry. And we actively decide to go and do as the Lord leads us across the globe. Missions aren’t just an idea or a special offering a few times a year. Missions are both our individual as well as our corporate choices to be involved in a variety of ways to demonstrate and declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Concord on Mission is our intentional choice to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Concord Church currently partners with over sixteen local and four international ministries. If you want to get involved in a meaningful way in serving others in the name of Jesus, Concord Missions has a place for you!

Stop by the Missions Center to pick up a Concord Church Missions Center packet describing the many ministries and missions we partner with. You can get information, and more importantly, you can get the contact information to get involved and join others in Concord on Mission.
