Connecting the Baltimore Lutheran-Concordia Prep Community
March 2019
Dear Alumni and Friends of Baltimore Lutheran School and Concordia Preparatory School,

Greetings in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ. As we begin our Lenten journey, let us pray:

In this holy season, help us to turn our minds and hearts back to you. Lead us into sincere repentance and renew our lives with your grace. Help us to remember that we are sinners, but even more, help us to remember your loving mercy.

As we live through this Ash Wednesday, may the crosses of ashes that mark our foreheads be a reminder to us and to those we meet that we belong to your Son. May our worship and prayer and penitence this day be sustained throughout these 40 days of Lent. Bring us refreshed and renewed to the celebration of Christ’s resurrection at Easter. Amen

We have much to be thankful for and much news to share. On February 22, we sent out acceptance letters to one of the largest recruitment classes in years. We received a record number of applications and expect to seat a very robust and diverse group of students next year. Thank you for helping us spread the good news about Concordia Prep.

Last fall all of our sports teams performed exceptionally well. The Varsity Boys’ Soccer team won the MIAA “B” Conference championship and will move up to the “A” Conference next year. Senior Connor Wright was selected to the Baltimore Sun’s 2018 All-Metro Second team for varsity boys’ soccer. Both our Middle School Boys' and Girls' basketball teams won the Concordia Prep Basketball Challenge in February and both teams will compete in the Lutheran National Basketball Tournament at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana in late March.  The spring sports season has just begun. All the team schedules are posted on the Concordia Prep website. Please join us and support the Saints! ( www.concordiaprepschool.org )

Our alumni celebrated fellowship at the Annual Bull Roast in January and again last weekend at our Annual Bid For Kids Auction, which was a tremendous success. Thank you to all our donors, supporters, and volunteers for your hard work and dedication.
