Former NBA Basketball Player Anthony Bonner Visits Concordia Prep
Yesterday former NBA basketball player Mr. Anthony Bonner spoke to the Upper School about his career, his work with youth and in prisons, and his relationship with God, "All of this was given by God to simply give me a platform to talk with you people about the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ because he gives you a purpose." heard him speak at a basketball camp when she was eight years old. Mr. Vernarelli, Faith, and Anthony Bonner have stayed in touch and Faith really wanted to Anthony to come speak to her classmates so Mr. Vernarelli and Faith invited him to CPS. She is pictured with her sister Rachael and father.

Saints' Fine Arts Musical Review: Friday, March 8
On
Friday, March 8th,
Concordia Prep welcomes the community to join us for an evening of entertainment from Broadway musical productions past and present. In addition to the band performing selections from
The Sound of Music
and several movie scores, current choir students have been preparing a selection of pieces from previous BLS/CPS shows and will be joined by several alumni. Audience members will enjoy performances from the current cast of
Annie
presenting “Hard Knock Life” and “Easy Street,” as well as songs from
Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph, and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, Mary Poppins,
and an alumni performance from
Hamilton!
Alumni theatre students from those shows will join in ensemble numbers, and perform solo/duet numbers as well. The event, which starts at 7:00 pm., will be held in the gym. Admission is $5 and all proceeds will benefit the small gym renovation into a Black Box Theatre!

Reminder regarding cough drops and other Over the Counter Medications (OTC) from the nurse:
With the cold and flu season upon us, be aware
the nurse is not allowed to give students cough drops or other OTC medications without the
Over the Counter Medication Authorization Form
being turned in with the doctor and the parent’s signature. The form is available on the website or from the nurse. A new form needs to be turned in for each school year. Students are not to have any medications in their locker or in their bag unless the doctor has written for them to carry emergency medication (inhaler or EpiPen).
