Bible Verse for 2022-2023: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. – Isaiah 43:2
Concordia Prep Service to the Community
6th-Grade Service Day
7th-Grade Service Day
Donations delivered to Loch Raven High School
This morning while the 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grades took the PSATs, the 6th and 7th grades performed service at two Lutheran Mission Compassion Place locations and at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Baltimore. Students organized and cleaned donations of household items and clothes that will be donated to those in need in the Baltimore area.

Thank you to all who donated to the "The Haven" fall food drive. Over $600 was collected and 700 food items donated. Last Thursday, the freshmen class helped load the donations and members of NewThing (Joan Scherch, Brian, and Jennifer Burnette, who are also CPS parents) delivered them to Loch Raven.

Middle School NewThing Quake
New Thing is taking a group of middle school students to Quake, a weekend-long event in Hunt Valley, MD, where students will join other youth from around the area to worship God and make connections with other youth through worship, workshops, and fun activities. Since 1966, Quake events have partnered with youth leaders to encourage teens to become established in their faith, empowered for Christian living and enabled to live a life of ministry and leadership.

This event is January 6-8, 2023 and the cost is $200, which includes 2 night's lodging at the Delta at Marriott. The final date to register is Tuesday, Nov. 1, and a deposit of $100 is required. A few scholarships are available. If you are interested, please click on the link to find out more details and to register: https://subsplash.com/newthing/lb/ev/+zp79rdk. Operation Christmas Project
The art club is collecting items for the Operation Christmas Child project. They are packing shoe boxes with gifts and supplies to send to children living in poverty around the world. A gospel book is included. This is a wonderful opportunity for the CPS community to participate in the great commission of sharing the gospel with the nations. All items should be taken to the art room 105.

Oct. 17 – 21 School/ Art Supplies Week. Please bring in pens, pencils & sharpeners, crayons, markers, paper & coloring books. NO used items please. Contact Mrs. Marci Barth with questions: MarcieBarth@concordiaprepschool.org.

The Office of Admissions is Looking for a Host Family for a CPS Student
Open your home to the world and the world becomes your home! CPS is seeking a host family for a male student currently attending Concordia Preparatory School. Host families volunteer to provide room and board, and a supportive family environment. Please contact Ms. Stefanelli if you are interested.
LEGO Donations
The Middle School LEGO Club Needs Your Help: We’ve all had LEGOS as children – we’ve collected them, built them, and even broken them down. And now they are probably sitting in your room in a box not being used and collecting dust. If this is the case, the LEGO Club is asking you to donate them. The LEGO Club needs any and all old, used, forgotten-about LEGOS. The LEGO club isn't a club without LEGOS. So LE–GO and bring in your old LEGOS! Donations can be delivered to Mr. Berger's office in the Upper School.
