Ash Wednesday Services

NewThing will have a worship service with the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion this evening at 6:30 pm in the Media Center of Concordia Prep. All are invited! Get More Information Here

NewThing will also be sending out simple daily devotions during Lent using a resource called “Suffering Servant.”

Parent-Teacher Conference – Friday, March 11

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held in-person on Friday, March 11 from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm. There will be a noon dismissal for students. Sign up for Parent-Teacher conferences here:

Athletic Department News

The JV Boys' team came second in the MIAA C Conference last Thursday and the Varsity Boys' are the MIAA C Conference champions after winning 72-53 in the championship game last Sunday – the first MIAA conference championship for the Varsity Boys' Basketball team. The Middle School teams also had great seasons. Both the Middle School Girls' and Boys' A teams won the Concordia Prep Middle School tournament last Saturday.

Congratulations to junior Hailee Ford on her selection to the IAAM Basketball All-Conference team.

Last Thursday, senior Jacob Hofstetter signed his commitment letter to play baseball at Stevenson University. Prior to joining the Mustangs, Jacob will enlist in the US. Navy Reserves. He is pictured with his brother Braden and his parents at the signing.

Virtual Bid for Kids Auction: Friday, March 11, 2022

Concordia Prep’s annual signature event will be held virtually this spring. Please join us virtually for "Music of Saints" on Friday, March 11, “doors” open at 6:30 pm. The evening will consist of a Live Auction, Raffle Drawing, Door Prizes...and more! The Bid For Kids Auction will raise funds for the music department.

The Bid for Kids website is open for business. You do not need to purchase tickets in order to participate. You must register on the gala website where you can purchase raffle tickets, tickets for the wine pull, and make a donation! The grand prize for the wine pull is a two-night stay at the Tides Inn in beautiful Irvington, VA – Tides Inn.

Once again, CPS is offering Party Boxes. Join the party and enjoy an engraved CPS charcuterie board with an assortment of specialty cheeses, meats, olives, crackers, and Wockenfuss chocolates. Includes your choice of red or white wine from Boordy Vineyards. The cost is $75.

If you wish to purchase a Saints Party Box without the charcuterie board, which includes the food and wine, the cost is $60.

You will be notified about the pick-up at CPS on March 11, 2022. The deadline to order is Monday, March 7.
