Lent is a 40-day journey to reflect on God’s love for us shown tangibly through Christ. We pause to consider the depth of our sin and the magnitude of Christ’s journey to the cross for our salvation.
Pastor Couser will be texting out a daily Bible verse (called CPS Daily Focus) starting on Ash Wednesday at 7:30 am Monday-Friday through the Remind App for all students, parents, and faculty.

The Concordia Prep JV Boys' Basketball team is the MIAA JV C Conference Champions! They beat Cristo Rey last Friday 52-50 in the MIAA JV C Conference Championship game! They were honored at today's Chapel.

Bid for Kids Auction: Saturday, March 7, 2020
Please join us for the annual
Bid for Kids Dinner and Auction
on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at the beautiful Hillendale Country Club. This year’s theme is
Saints Gymboree
and a portion of the money raised will support the renovations to the Lutheran Activities Center. Our auction is the biggest fundraiser for our school and we want it to be a huge success.
There is a great list of items available for the silent and live auction. Highlights include:
- The Concordia Prep Headmaster Brewery Tour: Headmaster Brent Johnson will drive a group on a brewery tour via a CPS minibus (the bus holds 10), stop for tastings at local breweries and finish with a late lunch/early dinner.
- Oceanfront Condo on 77th Street: One-week stay in a spacious two-bedroom (sleeps eight), two-bath oceanfront unit located in mid-town Ocean City.
- Oceanfront Condo at the Carousel on 117th Street: A three-night weekend stay in an ocean front condo—three bedroom, two baths—sleeps six comfortably.
- “Matilda the Musical” Performance! Ever wanted to be in a Broadway musical? Now’s your chance! Perform with the cast of Concordia Prep’s “Matilda, the Musical”. One (1) child or adult will learn the choreography and music to “Miracle”, and perform it with the full cast along with a live orchestra at the dinner theater performance on Thursday, April 30. Includes: Two tickets to the Dinner Theater performance (7:00 p.m. show); preferential seating for child and family for show; vocal and dance instruction from CPS Vocal Director and Choreographer.

Winter Formal
The Junior class is sponsoring a winter formal at CPS on Saturday, February 29, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm in the Gym. Tickets are $10 and the dance is open to all Upper School students. Tickets will be sold during lunch periods. If students are bringing a date from another school, a guest pass must be turned into Mrs. Welinsky.

Concordia Prep’s PTL is hosting Pastries with Parents to help students thank their parents for all of their love and support. Please consider attending Pastries with Parents with your child.
This event will be held at 7:30am on Friday, March 6th.
All parents and students are invited but attendees are asked to RSVP using the link below so that we can plan to have enough pastries and juice. Parents who attend will receive a gift from the PTL!
