Homecoming 2018
 A huge thank you to all the parents, parent clubs, and faculty who worked tirelessly to make all of the Spirit Week and Homecoming Festival events a huge success for our students, and ensured everyone's safe arrival and departure from our campus. Student Portraits and Retakes
The student portraits that were taken early this year will be returned to the students by Tuesday, Oct 9th. If you would like a retake, you will need to return the portrait package and $5.00 fee to Ms. Bainbridge by Friday, October 19th.

Students who did not have their portraits taken, and retakes, will be on October 23rd. Students will receive a pass that morning. If you any questions, please email  [email protected]
CPS Fall Sports News
Congratulations to sophomore Madison Hieber on her 50th goal in her two seasons at CPS. The Varsity Girls’ Soccer team won yesterday vs. Chapelgate Christian 4-0. They are on top of the IAAM ‘C’ League, 13-3, 8-0 in-conference, with only four games left in the regular season.

Concordia Prep student-athletes: Anna Shertzer, Sarah Franker, and Shelbie Woodward represented Concordia Prep at the IAAM Leadership Symposium today. They are pictured with Head Volleyball Coach and teacher Mrs. Kara Baney and Athletic Director Mr. Josh Ward.

WWII & The Western Front Europe Tour Parent Informational Meeting: Monday, October 22
This June marks the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. Join Mr. and Mrs. Johnson this summer for a two-week educational tour of WWII sites in Europe. A parent informational meeting will be held on Monday, October 22 at 6:30 pm in the Media Center. The trip is open to upper school and middle school students; however, it is strongly recommended that a parent accompanies his/her middle school student. Music Department Yankee Candle Fundraiser
The Music Department is participating in a Yankee Candle Fundraiser from now until Thursday, October 25. The money is raised for music trips. The Middle School groups go to Hershey Park in the spring to compete in Music in the Parks. This year, Upper School band is going to Busch Gardens for Music in the Parks, and the Upper School chorus is going to Washington, DC to tour the National Cathedral and sing for a chapel service in Catonsville . If you order online, the items will be shipped directly to your home address. If you order through a student, the items will be shipped to CPS and distributed by the student.

Halloween Costume Collection
The CPS Service Club is collecting new and gently used Halloween costumes ranging in size from young toddler to eighth grade. The costumes will be distributed through St. Vincent DePaul to children in Baltimore city that may not otherwise be able to purchase a costume. Bins will be placed by the main office in the Upper School and near Mr. Miller’s office in the Middle School. The collection will run until Wednesday, October 24 by the end of the day.

Operation Christmas Child Project 2018
Oct. 16 – 19: is “toys for girls and boys” week – From Belize to Botswana, Chad & Cambodia, God is using Operation Christmas Child to help expand his church to the ends of the earth. A simple gift can bring joy & comfort to hurting people & open the doors for the message of love & forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ. Please bring small toys that will fit in a shoebox such as cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, jump ropes & slinkys (no used or war-related items) to the art room – 105.
Concordia Prep’s Theatre Department Presents: The Upper School-Alumni Production of The Great Gatsby

Friday, November 2 at 7:30 pm
Saturday, November 3 at 7:30 pm
Sunday, November 4 at 3 pm

The Concordia Prep Theatre Department, as well as several alumni guest actors, will present The Great Gatsby November 2, 3, 4. As a way to celebrate the talents of our theatre students over the years and for many years to come, a portion of ticket sales will go towards the Renew and Rejoice Campaign and the renovation of the Black Box Theatre. Alumni actors include: Bayley Rabenau (’12), Colin Jones (’10), and Mark Bayne (’10), and choreographer Donna Stroh (’85).  

You may purchase your tickets online in advance for $12. Tickets will be $15 at the door, $10 for students and senior citizens. Seating is limited. Only 120 seats will be sold for each performance. Please keep your email receipt to show at the door. Tickets will be held at the door.

2018 Saints Bingo
The 18th Annual Saints Bingo will be held on Friday, November 16 in the CPS Cafeteria. Doors open at 6 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Tables of 10 are $180. You may purchase your tickets online via the CPS website: Saints Bingo tickets

The Bingo Committee is asking for a donation of $10 per child to be used for the purchase of prizes. For your convenience you will be able to pay through Pay Pal: ( [email protected] ) , please enter:  Parent/Guardian name, Student Name(s), Grade(s). You can send a  check or cash into the main office. We are asking that your donation be made by 10/26/18. Each child that has participated in the donation will get a pass for an out of dress code day to be used on 11/16/18 – the day of the BINGO event.

PTL ChIpotle Fundraiser: Tuesday, October 30
Come in to the Chipotle at 801 Goucher Blvd. in Towson on Tuesday, October 30th between 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Bring in this flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause to make sure that 33% of the proceeds will be donated to Concordia Preparatory School. Moms in Prayer Group Meets on Fridays
Moms in Prayer are mothers and grandmothers of CPS students and alumni who meet to pray for the students, the faculty, and their families, and Concordia Prep School. We meet on Fridays when school is in session from 7:45 - 9:15 am.  You are welcome to stop in and pray with us for a few minutes or for the entire time. Please join us in praying, silently or orally. God bless you.
