Fundraiser for the YOLT Foundation
Last Friday, juniors Victoria and Samantha Lassahn organized a dress-down day for the YOLT (You Only Live Twice) Foundation, which was founded by Danielle Beaulieu Class '87 and Jon Class '86 with their son Gavin. Gavin was the recipient of an organ donation while a student at Towson University. They are pictured with seniors Anna Shertzer and Sarah Franker. In addition, the Girls' Varsity Lacrosse team held an Organ Donation Awareness game last Thursday. They all wore blue and green ribbons and raised money for YOLT A grand total of $1,311.26 was raised.
Social Studies Bowl
The annual Social Studies Bowl is a CPS tradition. Last Thursday, we celebrated the 21st final competition of the Social Studies Bowl. This year 32 teams (64 students) from the high school competed in the Social Studies Bowl over the course of a month on the following topics: World History, US History, Government, Geography, Law, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, and Current Events. The competition included two semi-final rounds and a final round with the overall champion, freshman Ben Strong, winning with a whopping 4,900 points! Sports News
Congratulations to sophomore Cecilia Plantholt. Last Friday, the coaches of the Friends school awarded her with an IAAM Character Coin during the varsity softball game. Each IAAM coach has the opportunity to present a Character Coin to two opponents during the season who display significant elements of fair play, integrity, and respect.
Games this Week
There are no games Good Friday and next week during Easter break. Games will resume on Monday, April 29.
  • Wednesday, April 17: Boys’ Lacrosse at home vs AACS at 4 pm, MS Softball at Friends (YMCA Field) at 3:45 pm. Varsity Boys/Girls Track at Glenelg at 3:30 pm.
  • Thursday, April 18: Varsity Softball at home vs IND at 4 pm, Girls’ Lacrosse at home vs St Tim’s at 4 pm, Varsity Baseball at Indian Creek 4:15 pm.

Spring Musical Annie:  May 2, 3, 4, and 5
With over fifty middle school and high school students involved in the musical, we are excited to share a weekend of memorable performances: 
  • Thursday, May 2 – Dinner Theatre (6:30 p.m.)
  • Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 5 at 3:00 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased in advance, online for $12. Tickets at the door are $15 ($10 for students and senior citizens).  Online ticket sales will close on Thursday, May 2 at 3:00 p.m.  Tickets will be held at the door. All shows, except the Dinner Theatre, are general admission. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the show.

Tickets for the Dinner Theatre are $45 (includes the price of a ticket and a catered meal); the meal starts at 6:30 p.m. on May 2 with the show following at 7:00 p.m. More details about the Dinner Theatre will be available soon. Tickets for the Dinner Theatre will only be available through Monday, April 29 at 3:00 p.m.

  • Help is needed at New Family Welcome Night on Wednesday, May 1st. Sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4EA4AE2BA5F85-newfamily
  • The next PTL meeting will be held on Monday, May 6th at 6:30 in the Media Center. Any parent who attends this meeting will receive a free-dress down pass for their child to dress down on Tuesday, May 7th. A used uniform sale will also take place before and after the meeting.
  • Continue to donate used uniforms to the school office.  
  • Thank you to all of the parents who attended Pastries with Parents in March. Be on the lookout for your thank you gift...a Saints Pride keychain! These keychains can be purchased for $5.00. Contact the PTL at [email protected]

Saints Athletic Booster Club Corn Hole Tournament: Saturday, May 11, 3 - 8 pm
Open to anyone over 21. Sign-in from 2:30 - 3:00 pm, happy hour from 3:00 - 4:00 pm. Cost is $25 per player and $45 per team. Cash prizes. Free to spectators. The event will be outside unless there is rain.

Saints Annual Golf Tournament: Friday, June 14, 2019
Please join us for an afternoon of golf to be followed by a happy hour and dinner to benefit the athletic programs at Concordia Prep.

  • Location and Time: Grey Stone Golf Course on Friday, June 14, 2019, 12:00 Noon check in, 1:00 pm shotgun start.
  • Cost: $135.00 for single golfers | $500.00 for foursomes.
  • Included with the Golfer Package: Golf and cart, box lunch after check in, hot dog at the halfway point, complimentary beverage-snack carts including beer, soda, water and snacks, four contest holes, dinner, raffles, and awards after the golf concludes.

Dinner Guests:  Dinner will be a great opportunity for spouses, teachers and Alumni to join our event, share a wonderful evening and support Concordia Prep. At a cost of $40 they can join us for Happy Hour and dinner, as well as have the chance to buy raffle tickets for great prizes.
