Upper School Exams - December 17-20 
All Upper School students, as well as Middle School students who take Upper School level World Language and Geometry classes, will complete Semester One Exams beginning Monday, December 17 through Thursday, December 20. Please review the schedule here, which includes instruction and inclement weather directions. Specific locations will be posted each morning across from the Main Office. Students should check each day. There is a Noon Dismissal each day. Lunches are not sold on Noon Dismissal days and there is no EDP during exam week. Christmas Break begins at 12:00 pm on December 20, 2018 , and school resumes on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
2018 Fall Fine Arts Festival
Congratulations to Director of Bands Mr. Dennis Mercer, Choir Director Ms. Lauren Staehr, Art Department Chairperson Mrs. Joy Johnson, and Art Teachers Mrs. Marcie Barth and Mrs. Lynee Edwards for an outstanding Fine Arts Festival last night. Ms. Bainbridge has shared some photos from the evening:
NHS Warm Clothing and Food Drive
The Concordia Prep National Honor Society organized a warm clothing and food drive this fall. Yesterday, Mr. Randy Gast, Director of Ministry Advancement, at the  Lutheran Mission Society Compassion Place stopped by to pick up all the donations. He was assisted by students in both the Upper and Middle school. The food and clothing will be distributed to those in need in the Baltimore area.
The Junior Achievement Company is Selling Jackets
The Junior Achievement Company is selling jackets that are new additions to the dress code. The deadline to purchase a jacket is next Wednesday, December 19th. The cost is $45 and the check should be made out to Junior Achievement Company. Forms can be found here , or in person from any Junior Achievement representative. Please return the form and money to Maya Shock or Andrew Stephens by Wednesday, December 19.

Apparel Pick Up and School Store
Sports Apparel Pick Up and School Store: If you purchased CPS Athletic Apparel online, members of the Saints Athletic Boosters Club will be in the cafeteria from 3 to 4 pm on Thursday, December 13 and Friday, December 14 for you to pick up your items. They will also be in the cafeteria during exam week on Monday, December 17 from 11:30 am to 1 pm. The School Store will be open on Thursday and Friday with some additional items for sale by the Boosters Club.

CPS Sports
The Soccer Banquet is being held Thursday, December 13 at 6 pm in the cafeteria. Soccer parents should contact Coach Neto with questions.

  • Friday, December 14: MS Boys’ Basketball (B) vs Chapelgate at home at  3:45 pm, MS Boys’ Basketball (C) at Calvert at 3:45 pm, Varsity Girls’ Basketball at Bryn Mawr at 4 pm, Varsity Boys’ Basketball at FCA at 6 pm, location is Upper Crossroads Baptist Church, 2717 Greene Road, Baldwin, MD 21013.

$3 for kids 13 and under; $5 for adults. Concessions will be available.

A Night on Broadway: Saturday, March 2
Mark your calendars for the Annual Bid for Kid Auction "A Night on Broadway" to be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Hunt Valley Country Club. Director of Advancement, Mrs. Gloria Murphy, needs volunteers to help with the planning of this very important fundraiser. Meetings will begin in January. From the School Nurse
Reminder regarding Over the counter Medications from the nurse: With the cold and flu season upon us, be aware the nurse is not allowed to give students over the counter medications without the Over the Counter Medication Authorization Form being turned in with the doctor and the parent’s signature. The form is available via the link above, on the school website, on OnCampus or from the nurse. A new form needs to be turned in for each school year. Students are not to have any medications in their locker or in their bag unless the doctor has written for them to carry an emergency medication (inhaler or EpiPen). For questions contact Ellen Marquardt at 410-825-2323 Ext 244 or at [email protected] .

Reminder from The Guidance Office
Class of 2019:  If you have a college application deadline before January 7, 2019, Mrs. Grill needs your information no later than December 3, as the guidance office will be on vacation throughout the holidays. Remember, the guidance office needs three weeks to process all college admission materials.
