Concordia Prep’s Theatre Department Presents:
The Upper School-Alumni Production of  The Great Gatsby

  • Friday, November 2 at 7:30 pm
  • Saturday, November 3 at 7:30 pm
  • Sunday, November 4 at 3 pm

The Concordia Prep Theatre Department, as well as several alumni guest actors, will present  The Great Gatsby on November 2, 3, 4. As a way to celebrate the talents of our theatre students over the years and for many years to come, a portion of ticket sales will go towards the Renew and Rejoice Campaign and the renovation of the Black Box Theatre. Alumni actors include: Bayley Rabenau ’12, Colin Jones ’10, and Mark Bayne ’10, and choreographer Donna Stroh ’85.  

You may purchase your tickets online in advance for $12 -- online ticket sales close at noon on Friday, November 2. Tickets will be $15 at the door, $10 for students and senior citizens. Seating is limited. Only 120 seats will be sold for each performance. Please keep your email receipt to show at the door. Tickets will be held at the door.

First Quarter Report Cards
The first quarter report cards will be available through onCampus on November 2nd after 3:00 pm. If you have any questions please email Martha Bainbridge at marthabainbridge@concordiaprepschool.org .
CPS Sports News
Varsity Playoff Games
Both Varsity Soccer teams will play in the semi-final round of the MIAA and IAAM playoffs tomorrow. The boys will play at Boy's Latin at 3:30 pm and the girls will play at home vs. Annapolis Area Christian School at 3:30 pm.

The Varsity Football game scheduled for this Saturday, November 3 vs. Long Island Lutheran has been cancelled.

  • Wednesday, October 31: MS Boys’ Soccer at home vs. Loyola Blakefield at 3:30 pm, Varsity Cross Country Meet at St. John’s Catholic Prep at 4 pm: 5420 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick MD.
  • Thursday, November 1: The MS Cross Country at McDonogh is cancelled, MS Girls’ Soccer at Trinity Lutheran at 4 pm, Varsity Boys’ Soccer at Boy’s Latin in the MIAA Semifinals at 3:30 pm, Varsity Girls Soccer vs AACS at home at 3:30 pm in the IAAM Semifinal.
  • Friday, November 2: MS Girls’ Soccer vs. Friends at home at 4 pm, MS Boys Soccer at Friends at 3:45 pm.
Winter Sports
Upper School
Tryouts for both Upper School Boys' and Girls' Basketball begin on Monday, November 5 at 3:30 pm. Students must have a physical on file with Mrs. Marquardt by Friday, November 2 in order to try out.

Middle School
MS Boys: Tryouts begin on Monday, November 12 from 3:15 to 4:30 pm.
MS Girls: Tryouts begin on Monday, November 12 from 3:15 to 4:30 pm. There is a shoot around on Tuesday, November 6 from 3 to 4 pm.

PTL Meeting
Next Monday, November 5 the PTL will meet in the Media Center at 6:30 pm. All are welcome.

Middle School Fun Night
Friday, November 9, 3:30 – 6:30 pm at Monster Mini-Golf, Laser Tag and *NEW* Laser Maze
(Parents must pick up students from Monster Mini-Golf at 6:30 pm)
  • Where: Monster Mini Golf in Parkville: 1969 East Joppa Road, Parkville, MD 21234
  • Cost: $15.00 cash or check: (made payable to Concordia Prep School). Transportation provided from CPS for an additional $5.00.
  • Includes: Unlimited mini-golf, laser tag, and laser maze, pizza and drinks!
  • Dress: Halloween costume, or casual clothes that are neat, clean, and modest.

2018 Saints Bingo
The 18th Annual Saints Bingo will be held on Friday, November 16 in the CPS Cafeteria. Doors open at 6 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Tables of 10 are $180. You may purchase your tickets online via the CPS website: Saints Bingo tickets

Reminder: The Bingo Committee is asking for a donation of $10 per child to be used for the purchase of prizes.For your convenience you will be able to pay through Pay Pal: ( ptl@concordiaprepschool.org ) , please enter:  Parent/Guardian name, Student Name(s), Grade(s). You can send a  check or cash into the main office. Each child that has participated in the donation will get a pass for an out of dress code day to be used on 11/16/18 – the day of the BINGO event.

Microsoft Office 365 for Students Now Available
 Students can now install and use Microsoft Office 365 on their personal or home computers. Microsoft Office includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, Skype for Business, and Access. Students should follow the steps below to install Microsoft Office 365. 
  1. Open the web site: login.microsoftonline.com
  2. Logon with your school Microsoft account. (Each student at Concordia Prep has an account.)
  3. Username/Email Address: student's school email address
  4. Temporary Password: Concordia1 (password must be changed)
  5. On the main page, click on the dropdown next to "Install Office" and select "Office 365 apps" (a file will download).
  6. Double-click the downloaded file to begin installation.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts.
  8. When installation completes, you will find the Office apps on your Programs menu.
