Concordia Prep School Weekly Update
Hunter Becker Receives Award for Best Artwork
Mrs. Barth's The Middle School art class participated in the Baltimore County Bar Association Law Day 2021 Poster Contest. The theme was "Advancing the Rule of Law Now". Hunter Becker won the best artwork submitted by a 7th-grade student. He and his family are invited to the virtual Law Day ceremony in May to be honored by the Baltimore County Bar Association and the attending dignitaries. Congratulations and thank you to Hunter for sharing his talents with the community.
Saints Playing in College Next Year
Last Thursday, the following seniors signed their National Letters of Intent to play at the collegiate level next year. Director of Athletics, Mrs. Fredrica Newman welcome parents and introduced each student during the signing ceremony:

  • Jalen Bradford, Ursinus College, Football
  • Madison Hieber, Shenandoah University, Soccer
  • Kelsey King, Shepherd University, Lacrosse
  • Luke Nelson, Frederick Community College, Baseball
  • Michael Reynolds, Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, Lacrosse
  • Ellen Marie Sanders, Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons, Acrobatics and Tumbling
  • Milan Temple, Goucher College, Lacrosse

They join Deonté Ferguson and Chiebuka Aduaka who signed their National Letters of Intent in December of 2020 to play football at Merrimack College and Niyona Smith who signed her National Letter of Intent in February to play basketball at Manhattanville College.
May 6 - 8, 2021 – CPS Theatre Department Presents The Sound of Music
The performances will be held outdoors with COVID protocols in place. Ticket sales are now open. Visit the CPS website for all details. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance; no tickets will be available at the door. Online ticket sales will close on Thursday, May 6 at 3:00 pm.

  • Saturday, May 8 - 11:00 am AND 5:00 pm (two performances)
Junior Ring Chapel – Monday, May 17 at 8:50 am
All juniors and their parents are invited to the Junior Ring Chapel on Monday, May 17 at 8:50 am. Juniors do not have to attend their Class1/8 that morning. After chapel, juniors are invited to junior ring festivities and lunch. They will be dismissed after lunch.

Fall Athletes – Sign Up for Your Physical Now
The Towson sports medicine physical registration is live! There are two dates available, June 9th and August 9th. Please push fall athletes to register for the June date if they can!

The Link below has registration info and the PPE packet. Registrants will sign up for a specific date and time slot for their exam. All paperwork must be filled out upon arrival. If your school has specific forms, make sure you work that out. Generic emails will be sent to all registrants with links to our PPE packet that is printable on our site. First come first serve. Let me know if you have any questions.
