Citrus Tree Gleaning and Pruning

Villa Monterey has many yards with citrus trees, providing a bountiful crop of oranges, grapefruits and lemons each spring. However, citrus attracts roof rats, who are notorious for getting into attics and damaging homes.

You are required to glean (remove) all fruit from your citrus trees. Failure to strip fruit by June 30th will result in a fine. Please contact us if you need to borrow a basket-style picker to get hard-to-reach fruit.

Monsoon season is approaching, and with it comes dust storms, rain and heavy winds. You are also required to prune your trees to guard against monsoon season storm damage. If your neighbor is unable or refuses to trim their tree which has grown into your power line, then please call APS. APS will prune or remove trees, free of charge, that pose a risk to the high-voltage electrical distribution and transmission lines.

Please help us to maintain the safety and beauty of our community.

Thanks!

Gentle Tunes in June

In case you were unable to attend, here's a glimpse at last Friday's social event.

Gentle Tunes In June

Social events don't just happen. They are made possible by the time and energy contributed by volunteers. A BIG thank you goes to those who planned and executed our June 6th musical evening.

As always, we thank Frank Zampino for capturing our event in photos.

Last but not least, thanks go to local vocalist/entertainer Krystal Waters. Krystal not only brought us an evening of beautiful sounds, she

came to the rescue when Glade Wilson, the musician originally contracted, fell ill.
