Hi,

I’m traveling out of town, so there won’t be much of a column this week.

The plan for Tuesday is to run everything in order. Yes! We all need to know how everything is going. Please make time to look through all of your music and make note of your own shaky places. It would be helpful to let your section leader know about the big ones.

So, I’ll have plenty to say in the next column!

Have a great weekend.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Backpack Buddies

We enjoy being part of Holy Cross's community and that of their sister congregation, Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Christ the Good Shepherd operates Backpack Buddies, which provides nutritious food to school-aged kids at risk for hunger. If you picked up one of the "wish" tags this week, please remember to bring the requested food item to next week's rehearsal. There are also brochures in the church lobby if you are interested in learning more about the program or would like to make a monetary donation.

Ready...Set...Sell!

Ticket sales have now started and each member is asked to sell at least two tickets. Read the information on your ticket envelope closely so that you understand ticket prices. For more tickets, contact Desiree Rinza at dmrinza@gmail.com or 503-400-8891. Money and unsold tickets must be returned by April 29.

Lead the Way with Board Service

Get involved by joining FCO's board of directors. FCO is a nonprofit member organization with an annual budget close to $60,000. Board members oversee all aspects of FCO business, from grant writing and donor development to concert management and ticket sales. FCO's continued success depends on finding hard-working and passionate people to serve on the board. Next season's board members will be elected in April. If you are interested in helping to lead FCO, contact Bryan Gonzalez at bcgonzalez@juno.com.
