Cone Drive Harmonic Solutions® (strain wave gearing) offers the ultimate in precision motion control technology. Our harmonic product range includes gearheads and component sets.

Harmonic gearing is low to zero backlash by design. It provides high transmission accuracy and can support a high ratio reduction in a single stage with lower inertia. The highly accurate, torque dense design makes harmonic gears a great solution for robotic and positioning applications.

We manufacture a wide range of harmonic drive gearing options in our line of Cone Drive Harmonic Solutions®.
Cone Drive Harmonic Solutions® are in-line motion control solutions consisting of three main components: wave generator, flexspline, and a circular spline.

Cup style are perfect for high precision and torque density. The gear extends out from the joint and cables are run externally.
Hat style are perfect when high precision and torque density are required as well as the passing of cables through the gear center.
Ring style gears are perfect when axial compactness and passing cables through the gear center are the most important features.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

The Cone Drive Product Development Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility directly adjacent to our Traverse City, Michigan manufacturing location. The lab has the capacity to test a wide range of gear reducer products, for both Cone Drive products as well as those manufactured by other companies. The lab includes capability to run a wide variety of tests including load testing for evaluating reducer performance and operating efficiency.
