I have been stunned into awe by the Northern Lights this week. As I watched the night sky turn day-glow green and then pink, I could only say, “Wow. Wow. Wow.” I have in mind to write a prayer in gratitude to our amazing God and God’s power to create such beauty. And I had in mind the great hymn, “How Great Thou Art”, which is translated in the New Century Hymnal as, “O Mighty God, When I Survey in Wonder” (NCH #35). This version ends the verses with, “My soul cries out in songs of praise to you, O mighty God, O mighty God!” Yes. My soul cries out. O mighty God, O Mighty God! Awesome, amazing, amen!
