Rooted in Purpose, Growing Together

A Note from your Executive Secretary Treasurer

Spring time views at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Spring in Colorado Springs always keeps me on my toes—snow one week, seedlings the next! While the timing of our growing season may vary across regions, the energy and optimism of spring feels the same wherever you grow.

This season, I’m especially grateful for the ways our IPPS community continues to connect, share knowledge, and support the next generation. Whether you’re mentoring a student, hosting an area meeting, or preparing for our fall conference in Louisville, thank you for keeping the spirit of “to seek and to share” alive in everything you do.

Wishing you a strong season ahead—wherever you’re growing.

Warmly,

Savanah Tanner

Executive Secretary Treasurer, IPPS-ER

Kansas City-based DCA Outdoor filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Feb. 20, according to court documents from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of Western Missouri.

The company was founded in 2016 by Tory Schwope as a parent company to house the green industry brands he was operating across the supply chain. Currently, the DCA Outdoor umbrella includes 12 brands operating in six states. These brands integrate nursery stock production, landscape distribution and retail garden center operations.
