Over 200 students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the nation tackled real-world problems from North Carolina cities like Charlotte and Winston Salem, delivering creative tech solutions to urban challenges.

Following Van Buren's Lead, Other Towns Eye College Collabs

Van Buren in 2023 was selected as one of the 17 towns in the United States to receive a Citizen's Institute on Rural Design grant, resulting in collaborations with Clemson University, Drexel and Georgetown.
