Highlight a Special Social Worker
Seeking inspiring stories for publication in multiple outlets

NASW-NJ is collecting stories of social workers in New Jersey--stories of social workers creating programs, leading research, helping clients, students, driving community advocacy, providing clinical support, etc. We plan to begin sharing these stories in March 2019 during Social Work Month via our online blog, social media, FOCUS, and will even feature a few as part of our collaboration with New Jersey Monthly Magazine.

Do you know a social worker who is doing exceptional things in our state? Do you have a story to share? We'd love to hear!

Please complete the form to nominate a social worker--and remember, all submissions must be of individuals with a formal social work degree (BSW, MSW, PhD, DSW)!
CMS Quality Payment Program Exclusion: What This Victory Means for Clinical Social Workers

In June 2019, CMS-1693-P, the proposed rule for the 2019 physician fee schedule, listed clinical social workers as eligible providers for the 2019 quality payment program. NASW responded to the proposed rule explaining why it would be problematic for clinical social workers to report quality measures successfully in 2019. For now, the 2019 MIPS exclusion is a victory for clinical social workers who have reported relief and contentment for the exclusion.
