Defending Educational Equity: July Town Hall Highlights

Kimberly Jones '00 led a powerful July 30 Town Hall on defending 900,000 low-income students from Federal TRIO program cuts. Kimberly is the Council for Opportunity in Education President and she shared grassroots mobilization strategies and the launch of a $500K defense campaign. The conversation was hosted by Keno Sadler YGELP SOM '22 and together they explored systemic advocacy.

Caribbean Chapter Celebrates Creativity and Community

YANA Caribbean hosted a successful hybrid Paint & Sip event on Aug 16 featuring artist Simone Brown. The hummingbird-themed gathering combined cultural connection with creativity. The chapter showcased its year-and-a-half journey video amid Hurricane Erin's Caribbean impact.
