Talking is Teaching
Let’s Talk about LAUNDRY TIME!

Let’s talk, read, and sing about LAUNDRY! Loading the washer, hanging wet clothes to dry, and folding clean clothes are great activities that will help your toddler develop and strengthen their gross motor skills. Make laundry time extra joyful by singing and dancing as you work together to get all the laundry done. Be sure to let your child know how thankful you are for such a great little laundry helper.

AGES & STAGES DEVELOPMENT SCREENING OR A SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SCREENING
Great Start Saginaw
Is My Child On Track?

Families with children between the ages of 2 months and five residing in Saginaw County can complete a FREE Ages and Stages developmental screening or a social-emotional screening. Screenings take ten minutes to complete and the results are back within a week. Results tell parents what to expect at each state of development. Often times, early diagnosis can help give a child the best opportunity to reach their potential.

IMAGINATION LIBRARY

The Imagination Library program is available to children throughout Saginaw County between the ages of Birth-5 and provides the opportunity for children to receive FREE, age appropriate books mailed directly to their homes. After the child is signed up for the program, they will receive one book, per month, until their fifth birthday.

BEDTIME MATH

BEDTIME MATH is a FREE "app for iPhone/iPad or Android, available in both English and Spanish, is a great way for families with kids ages 3-9 to have fun with math together! "
Mission: Our charitable mission is to help kids love numbers so they can handle the math in real life.

HOME VISITING

The intimacy of visiting in the home can make parents more comfortable about opening up and identifying their needs. It also helps home visitors to better tailor their support and guidance to the families’ needs. From observing the family in their home, home visitors can build on their strengths and can also identify risk factors in the children’s growth and development, such as maternal depression, poor parenting practices, and lack of support. Many parents can sometimes feel isolated and home visits from a trained service provider can offer a valuable connection to the outside community and the services available.
