Summer Programs Offer Teens Opportunities to Explore Their Faith
Convergence
High school students can learn about the intersection of faith and science at Convergence, a three-day program at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland. The 2022 event will be July 15-17. Participants will enjoy hands-on activities and discover career opportunities.
At Maryville College in Tennessee, teens can attend a week-long summer program. Held June 19-25, the 2022 theme is Soul and Food: How Food Shaped the Faith We Share. Students will engage in Bible study, small group discussions, and leadership development activities.
For the second year in a row, Camp Hanover has been named Best Summer Camp in Central Virginia by Virginia Living. The annual survey shares the top businesses, organizations, and nonprofits selected by the magazine's readers.
The Rev. Dr. Robert “Bob” Bluford Jr. entered the Church Triumphant on April 30. His service to the Church included roles as pastor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) and churches in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Prayers for peace and comfort to his extended family. A memorial service will be held at Overbrook Church on May 14 at 2 p.m.
