Dear Friend!

Friends of the Congo (FOTC) is commemorating Congo Week XIII from October 18 - 24. We are excited to host a series of virtual events this year with special presentations from the Andree Blouin Center in Kinshasa, DRC.

Congo Week officially launches on Sunday, October 18th with prayer services from faith leaders appealing for peace, justice and human dignity in the Congo. FOTC will host several pre-Congo Week events starting on October 1st, with a forum focusing on the 10th anniversary of the UN Mapping Exercise Report. Congo in Harlem Film and Events Series will kick-off on October 16th and run through October 31st with virtual films and discussion series.
Each day of Congo week will address diverse issues (peace and justice, history, culture, independence, Lumumba, youth, women, natural resource exploitation, etc) related to Congo's historical and contemporary experience. Click here to see the themes that will be discussed during Congo Week.

We encourage you to join us for this special, virtual global teach-in on the Congo.
