Aquinas FFA led by Golden Owl Finalist

Ms. Kubicek is a Golden Owl Finalist! The Golden Owl Award honors outstanding agricultural educators who inspire the next generation of ag leaders, presented by Nationwide, the Nebraska FFA Foundation, and the Nebraska Agricultural Educators Association. She was nominated by students, parents, and administration who described her as an exceptional ag teacher, mentor, visionary, leader, and a builder.

FFA Qualifies 23 for STATE

Aquinas almost doubles the number of qualifiers for the State FFA Convention on March 25-27. Fourteen students have qualified in two events, two students qualified in three events, and one student is qualified in four events. Amazing job!

District Runner-Ups with

7 State Qualifiers

Aquinas Catholic Wrestling Team finished as District Runner Ups and qualifying seven wrestlers to state on Feb. 19-21. Congrats to Jaydyn Schommer, Camden DeWispelare, Tristian Davis, Emmet Kadavy, Symon Kastl, Logan Vandenberg, and Kaleb Andel. Let's go, Monarchs!

Nebraska Wrestling had amazing coverage of the Tri-County Duals hosted by Aquinas on Jan. 15

Honor Bands

Ellie Piitz & Holly Schmid were selected to participate in the Underclassmen Honor Band in Kearney. They performed in the symphonic band.

Sylvia Piitz and Gunner Marushak performed at the Wayne State College Wind Ensemble Honor Band.

Sylvia also performed at the Patriots of the Plains Honor Band presented by the 43rd Army Band/Nebraska National Guard at Lincoln Northwest High School.

Sylvia Piitz attended the 3 day Nebraska Wesleyan Symphonic Honor Band in Lincoln this past weekend.

Much fun was had at the Elementary PTO Mother Son Movie, 'David' at Schuyler.

"Best day of my life," said happy first-grader.

Speech in Full Swing

Monarch Speech finished off the first half of their season at Elmwood Murdock on January 31st with a 5th place team finish! Congratulations to our individual event medalists Nathanial Hain, Anna Meysenburg, Holly Schmid, Bella Fontenot, Lilly Collins, individual event champion Violet Schmid, Lauren Meister, and Sabra Meister, who also received a novice award for her individual event!
