CPRC's Transportation Demand Management Receives Excellence Award!
Congratulations to our TDM program! (TDM = transportation demand management) Shuchi Gupta, CPRC Principal Planner, recently accepted the Excellence in TDM Award in the MPO/RPC category at ACT's TDM forum.
| The Association for Commuter Transportation’s Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Excellence Awards honors outstanding performance and leadership in TDM by organizations. Award categories represent a range of sectors, including employers, hospitals, higher education, and municipalities, MPOs, transportation providers, and technology companies. | The Excellence Awards shine a spotlight on the most exceptional examples of TDM leadership and implementation and recognize the commitment of the organization to use TDM as an important strategy to improve the lives of commuters, enhance the livability of communities, and strengthen the economic competitiveness of businesses. | |

November 20 is the 25th Annual National GIS Day! | |
Mapping Minds, Shaping the World
This year’s theme highlights how geographic information system (GIS) technology has changed the way we understand, navigate, and shape our world. Together, human creativity and technology help us discover hidden trends, spur sustainable growth, and make smarter decisions. GIS Day is dedicated to sharing, teaching, and inspiring others with GIS. Esri president and cofounder Jack Dangermond credits activist Ralph Nader as the person who inspired the first formal GIS Day in 1999. There are several events going on in the region celebrating National GIS Day if you want to learn more.
