Worship Online or On Campus This Weekend
Sunday @ 8:15am & 10:45am
Don't Give Up Just Yet
From learning to love ourselves to passing on the garment of faith to the generations to come, our series on 1 Corinthians has been honest and raw. And this week, we will tackle the final chapter with a lesson in perseverance, namely, how can we conquer our humanly desire to throw in the towel and not just survive, but thrive, through the tough times.

If you've missed any of the previous sermons in this series, you can watch them at hfumc.org/media. Or watch last week's by clicking the link below.

We can't wait to see you Sunday, on campus or online, at 8:15 and 10:45.
Legacy Scholarship Recipients
Each year, HFUMC is honored to send a handful of graduates to college with a Legacy Scholarship. We normally recognize these students during a church service but were unable to this year due to COVID-19. Because of that, we want to recognize and congratulate them here. The 2020 Legacy Scholarship recipients are:

  • Ally Cardwell University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
  • Sydney Cleary, Tennessee Tech University
  • Madison Davis, Wake Forest University
  • Kara Ellis, University of Missouri
  • Gretchen Judkins, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
  • Matt Heatherly, University of Tennessee at Knoxville
  • Annsley Hubbard, Baylor University
  • Trace Kimler, Meharry Medical College
  • Loren Leath, Samford University
  • Paul McCoy, University of Tennessee at Knoxville
  • Sara Wilson, Tennessee Tech University

Congratulations! We are so proud of each of you.
Fall Break Food Bins due Sept. 27; Boxes still available
We still have several boxes available as part of our Fall Break Food Bin mission project. These food bins will go home over fall break with Sumner County Schools students whose families are food insecure. They are available for pick up in the atrium and must be returned by September 27 for distribution in the community. Click here to download the list of what goes inside the bins.
Youth Group Retreat: A little rain can't stop our Youth
This past weekend, our high schoolers went on a retreat to Cedar Crest Camp. While the rain may have put a damper on some of their scheduled activities, it did not put a damper on their love for God, the conversations and quality time they enjoyed, and the memories they made.

The middle school Youth Group retreat is just two weekends away. They, too, will be spending the weekend at Cedar Crest, with a number of pandemic protocols in place (masks, social distancing, etc.). Learn more or sign up here.
