It is with immense pride to announce that APPNA got its 5 years CME accreditation with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). This means our CME program and audit have resulted in full compliance in all categories.
The RESA committee is one of the crown jewels of APPNA that oversees research, educational, and scientific affairs activities of the Association. One of our strategic priorities in 2024; was to set up the highest standard of CME and make education as one of the pride programs of APPNA. In the capacity of RESA Chair; I appreciate the trust of Dr. Asif Mohiuddin – APPNA President, Board of Directors and our members; to undertake this herculean task and finish strong in 2024 and in achieving an important milestone with 5 years of accreditation.
In the year 2024, RESA was able to achieve the following:
- Centralized and Standardized CME – Organizing exceptional scientific sessions and educational programs at Strategic, Spring, Summer, Fall and all international meetings.
- Launch of Specialty focused CME in disciplines of Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hematology-Oncology, Psychiatry and Podiatry.
- Artificial Intelligence: Trend setting and bringing the value of AI in healthcare by introducing interactive CME sessions
- Engaged honorable APPNA members from academic institutions to participate in CME
- Established policy and guidelines for CME activities, speakers’ travel and honorarium
