The Chabot Gladiators wrap up the 2024 Track and Field Season with a 7th place Men's team finish and 3 All Americans (top 4 individual finishes).
True, a Freshman out of El Cerrito High School, no longer shares the school record in the 200, as he comes away with a 2nd place finish and blazing time of 20.84. Stitts placed 5th in the 100.
Kyle Galinis had some fantastic performances. He placed 3rd in the 10k with a time of 30:48 (which included a personal best in the 5k of 15:08 en route to the 3rd place finish), and, with just under 24 hours rest, Kyle would come back Saturday evening with a 6th place in the 5k with yet another 5k personal best of 14:53.
Sophomore and Santa Clara full scholarship commit Daniel Trampe made a big push for the lead with 1600 to go in the 5k and would ultimately place 3rd with a time of 14:35.
Egypt Hughes had multiple podium finishes in the 100 (11.99) and the 200 (24.91). Logan Phulps, who will be running for CSU East Bay in the fall, capped off the season with a personal best and 10th place finish in the 3k steeplechase with a time 9:54. Freshman Medha Gowda finished 12th in the state in the 1500m and Freshman Shawn Carter would place 12th in the state in the Triple Jump.
