Richard Gilder History Prize for Tytianna Pope

The Richard Gilder History Prize is for the top student in history at East High School. The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History is the foremost national organization dedicated to the teaching of American History in K-12 schools, and this is the first year they are offering this award. 

She will be receiving a book, 1776 by David McCullough. Inside the front flap of this book will be more information about the benefits of this prize as well as a letter of recognition from me.

The prize nominates her for the National Academy of American History and Civics.

Students who are admitted receive:

  • exclusive eligibility for full-tuition scholarships at major universities
  • free online courses in American history
  • Lectures and live Q&As with top professors at leading American universities
  • A series of exclusive, inside advice presentations by admissions officers on every aspect of the college application process.

Azaria Boyd has been invited to participate in the TN Distinguished Young Women Class of 2021!

Congratulations on performing well enough at the At-Large program to advance to the Distinguished Young Women of Tennessee program with the Class of 2021.
