Congratulations to our 2021 Shark Tank Grant Recipients!
We're excited to announce this year's Shark Tank Grant recipients! As in previous years, FFA members who applied for a Shark Tank Grant had to present an innovative idea for starting or expanding their SAE project to a panel of business experts. Just like in the Shark Tank television show, those experts opted to either fund the idea with a grant, or encouraged students to go back to the drawing board and give their idea a little more thought.

Meet this year's Shark Tank Grant recipients:
Jarren Bruer
Carlisle County FFA
Jarren operates a mum business on his family farm where he sells mums both at the wholesale and retail level.
Will Bonta
Green County FFA
Will is the owner of Bonta Beef where he sells certified and USDA graded beef by the package.
Katherine Woodward
Logan County FFA
Katherine operates her very own honey business called Black Lick Creek Apiary. She is also the owner of the Honey House, located on her farm, where she will showcase fellow FFA members SAE projects including popcorn, baked goods, candles and pinto beans.
Riley Milby
Green County FFA
Riley owns 3M Growing Roots, a Kentucky Proud-certified business that provides her community with fresh produce, eggs, beef and preserved canned goods.
Shark Tank Grants are funded by donations made on Give FFA Day, plus a gift from Owensboro Grain (more on that below). Thank you to all our sponsors who help make this outstanding program possible!
Sponsor Spotlight:
Owensboro Grain
If you've ever made a gift on Give Kentucky FFA Day, Owensboro Grain has matched it. This gift helps fund 0ur Shark Tank Grant program, which awards capital each year to FFA members who are starting or expanding their innovative SAE project.

In addition, Owensboro Grain gives $3,000 annually to each of the three FFA chapters in Daviess County, where the company is based.

“The farming community is a big part of our mission. It’s who we exist for and who helps us exist, and we want to support that community,” said Helen Cornell, president and CEO of Owensboro Grain.

We are thankful for Owensboro Grain's 5-star sponsorship of Kentucky FFA!
We're always happy to hear from you!
