In Memoriam

Jacob Judd in Commencement Regalia

Lehman College remembers Professor Emeritus Jacob Judd, who first taught on campus in 1967 when Lehman College was still Hunter in the Bronx. At Lehman, Dr. Judd was chair of the Department of History for twelve years, acting dean of Arts and Humanities, and chair of the Lehman College Retirees Association until 2016. He received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in 2018.

Lasting Connections: Reflecting on her most formative experiences, including the Tiananmen Square uprising and 9/11, Mental Health Counseling graduate Li Hua Wu (third from right) realized that her life's purpose lay in connecting with other people—that's why she applied to Lehman. Wu is a member of the second cohort to graduate from the School of Education's new program.
