Congrats to our graduates!
Congratulations to the Lowell High School Class of 2020 graduates! While the school year concluded with all students and staff working remotely, seniors at Lowell High will have in-person graduations this week. The outdoor ceremonies for the students will be held July 21 and July 22 at LeLacheur Park (rain dates July 23 and 24th).

This year Lowell Public Schools is bringing together our students, families, educators, employers, and community partners to create a bold new vision for Lowell’s graduates - Portrait of a Graduate 2020 . Portrait of a Graduate is a community-driven process that will define success for Lowell students. This includes the values , knowledge , skills , and work habits they will need to thrive as learners, workers, and leaders in the 21st century. Learn more here .
With Covid-19 impacting our daily personal and professional lives, maybe forever, it is crucial for Lowell Public Schools to prepare students to be successful in an ever-changing world. We need your help to do this. Click here to fill out a survey to inform the Lowell Portrait of a Graduate work as it relates to your business or industry area. C2C internships kick off!
This month we kicked off Commencement [2] Careers (C2C), a pilot internship program delivering project-based work experiences to Lowell High rising seniors and 2020 graduates . Participating students have been matched up with organizations including Project LEARN, Boys & Girls Club of Lowell, The Vieras, Entrepreneurship for All, Energy Storage Development Partners, and other amazing partners.

As part of the internship students are also participating in weekly workshops like Social Justice , Resume Building , Social Media Training , and Interview Readiness .

One student-intern said, "I think that C2C is really teaching me about self-accountability and time management. Everything is through Zoom, so it's up to me to manage my time. And it's up to me to find time to complete my internship tasks and it's my responsibility to communicate if I need help or have questions."

From mentors, advisors, guest speakers, tutors and more, Lowell High Alumni are valuable resources for current students. The Lowell High Alumni Association, funded in part from the Cummings Foundation, is a collaboration between Project LEARN, the Greater Lowell Community Foundation and the Lowell Public School district.  The mission of the Alumni Association is to help alumni connect with each other, to engage with the school, community and to inspire future generations of LHS students through mentoring, advising and tutoring. We invite alumni to connect and find ways to work on new and existing programs within the schools to better the academics and the lives of all Lowell Public School students.
