Congratulations!
The Office of Sponsored Programs is excited to announce that Christina Reyman has been named our Financial Research Account Manager as of March 1, 2022. She will lead the financial research accountants to ensure accountability of sponsored program accounts and report to the Associate Director for Financial Compliance.

Christina joined OSP during the pandemic in 2020 and recently served as a research administrator in Grants and Contracts.  Christina has over nine years in research administration including seven years in post-award accounting and has extensive core knowledge covering pre and post-award functions. Prior to joining UNLV, Christina worked at the University of California Davis and Fresno State Foundation. Congratulations, Christina!

There will be a new vacancy in Grants and Contracts to backfill Christina's old position. During this transition, Hallie Lyons, Associate Director for Grants and Contracts will be managing services in the interim. The College/Department assignments will be updated on the OSP site later this week.

We are actively searching for two positions for research administrators in Grants and Contracts and have two vacancies in Pre-award for research administrators. We sincerely appreciate your patience during this time as we continue to recruit new team members for OSP.

Transforming Trajectories for Women of Color in Tech: A National Symposium
March 16, 2022, 12:00pm - 4:00pm EST

Join the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine for a virtual symposium on March 16, 2022 that will highlight the findings and recommendations of the committee authored consensus study report Transforming Trajectories for Women of Color in Tech. This report uses current research, as well as information obtained through four public information-gathering workshops, to provide recommendations to a broad set of stakeholders within the tech ecosystem for increasing recruitment, retention, and advancement of women of color. The report identifies gaps in existing research that obscure the nature of challenges faced by women of color in tech, addresses systemic issues that negatively affect outcomes for women of color in tech, and provides guidance for transforming existing systems and implementing evidence-based policies and practices to increase the success of women of color in tech.

The symposium will also serve as an opportunity for key stakeholders to come together to identify opportunities for collective action. Please contact Ashley Bear at [email protected] to attend a private session focused on exploring the development of an Action Collaborative guided by the information put forth in this report.
