Dr. Loren Crabtree Receives the 2010 Robert Jones Award

Please join us as we congratulate Loren Crabtree, MD for receiving the Philadelphia Psychiatric Society's (PPS) 2010 Robert Jones Award! Each year this honor is given to a local psychiatrist who has exhibited outstanding dedication to improving the lives of the seriously mentally ill. Dr. Crabtree will be recognized at the society's annual Benjamin Rush Awards Dinner on November 6, 2010.

Dr. Crabtree began his career in 1967 as Director of the Adolescent Treatment Center at the Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital. In 1982, he and Paul Keisling, MSW co-founded Project Transition, an innovative psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation program. Since that time, Crabtree has spent his career seeking creative techniques and technologies to help those with serious mental illness live more satisfying lives.
