Dear Friends,

I am excited to share with you some important news. Cardinal Cupich has appointed our Associate Pastor, Fr. Louis Mboe, as the new Pastor of St. Procopius/Providence of God in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. He will begin his new assignment on July 1, 2024.

I know you will join me in congratulating Fr. Louis on this well-deserved appointment. Fr. Louis has been a source of inspiration, guidance, and comfort to our parish community. He helped us take our first steps into our new identity as Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, and he has been a gift to me since I began as a first-time pastor nearly 4 years ago. I am confident that his new parish community will be blessed to have such a compassionate and devoted shepherd.

In the coming months, we will organize a celebration and farewell to express our appreciation for Fr. Louis and to ensure we send him off with our love and prayers.

Please keep Fr. Louis and the people of St. Procopius/Providence of God in your prayers as they get ready to make this transition, and join me in praying that God's grace continues to guide and bless him abundantly.
