Spirit Catholic Radio Visits Aquinas

Three Things

that impressed Spirit Catholic Radio

1) The school chapel was "churchy" and what we mean by that is it adhered to the feel of a traditional Catholic church--which is sometimes rare in a chapel.

2) The students truly emitted joy. This was evident in not only our conversations with them, but also by the positive and encouraging signs throughout the school that ask, "Have you invited God into your heart?" and "Where am I going to see God today?"

3) Finally, the faculty and students are guided daily by their theme for the year that reads: "UNITE--In His heart we are one." That's the heartbeat of Aquinas Catholic High School. We saw it today!

Acting!

Some 3rd Grade students with Mrs. Roh read Crow Brings the Daylight, an Inuit myth adapted as a play by Kate McGovern. Students enjoyed bringing the story to life as they explored the characters and themes from this traditional tale.
