Pharmacy of the Year Contest

American Pharmacies is very proud to announce that member Roden-Smith Pharmacy of Clovis, NM, was runner-up in Good Neighbor Pharmacy's just-concluded 2022 Pharmacy of the Year contest. We extend our warmest congratulations to the 2022 winner, Gateway Pharmacy of Phoenixville, PA.

Given that there are more than 4,500 GNP pharmacies around the country, finishing second is a testament to both Roden-Smith's excellence as well as the motivation of all the GNP members who voted for them.

Originally founded by J.R. Roden and Bob Smith, Roden-Smith Pharmacy has been a fixture in Clovis, NM, for more than 70 years. The Lansford family has owned the pharmacy for more than 30 of those years. Roden-Smith is now run by co-owners Micah Lansford, PharmD, (above) and wife Maggie Lansford (below), who is marketing director. The pharmacy offers traditional services as well as compounding, medication synchronization, vaccines, long-term facilities care and medication management.

While Micah Lansford continues to drive the advancement and evolution of the services offered by Roden-Smith, Maggie has succeeded in increasing the pharmacy's visibility and interactions with patients and the broader community through social media (read more).

"Social media is the present and future of how your patients prefer to interact with your business," Maggie Lansford said. "Building a brand presence online that is accessible, informative and consistent will create great first impressions, capture patients that are looking for better information or services and allow you to better serve your community."
