The Ottawa Board of Trade and Ottawa Business Journal are pleased to recognize Erin Crowe as the 2022 CFO of the Year. Crowe, who rejoined the Ottawa Senators as senior vice-president and chief financial officer earlier this year, is the 5th recipient of the annual award, which recognizes CFOs who maximize their company’s financial position and growth during a recent period.

“Erin is one of the backbones of the entire organization,” said Anthony LeBlanc, the Senators’ president of business operations. “She brings creativity, leadership and an incredible depth of knowledge to our management team. We are all so happy to see her recognized for her contributions.”

We will celebrate Erin Crowe and the 2022 recipients at the Best Ottawa Business Awards on November 24th at the Westin Ottawa. Join us! Limited tickets.

Porter Aviation Holdings Inc. and the Ottawa International Airport Authority (OIAA) are investing over $65 million in YOW’s future

Porter will be building two hangars for new aircraft maintenance base, with 200 full-time, permanent local jobs being created. Additionally, 150 construction jobs will be supported during the building process.

“Ottawa has been a critical location for Porter throughout our history and the multi-million dollar facilities we’re building to maintain aircraft here is only the latest example of our desire to meaningfully invest in Canada’s Capital Region,” said Michael Deluce, president and CEO, Porter Airlines.

”YOW was Porter’s first destination when they launched in 2006. We believe it’s very fitting that YOW is an important part of their expansion plans and their future, and look forward to the benefits that come with such an extensive maintenance operation,” said Mark Laroche, OIAA President and CEO. “We are particularly pleased that sustainability factors so prominently in Porter’s plans, which fits perfectly with YOW’s ambitious commitment to net-zero operations by 2040 or sooner.”
