Congratulations to the
Honorable Linda Allard!
GHLA is thrilled to congratulate former GHLA Staff Attorney Linda Allard on her confirmation as a judge of the Connecticut Superior Court. Judge Allard practiced family law at GHLA for 20 years, representing victims of domestic violence. During that time she served hundreds of survivors, negotiating and litigating on their behalf and offering an attentive ear and sound advice. As a Co-Chair of GHLA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee she provided leadership and insight on issues central to our Mission.  Judge Allard was also a founding attorney in GHLA’s Medical-Legal Partnership with Hartford HealthCare (HHC) in 2019, addressing HHC patients’ legal problems impacting the social determinants of health. Her dedication, passion for justice, and commitment to our clients will be missed.

Reflecting on her time at GHLA, Judge Allard said, “I’m grateful for the opportunity I had to work with survivors. I will miss my clients and colleagues but leave knowing GHLA’s essential Mission continues in good hands.”

Judge Allard is GHLA’s first female attorney and first Black Native American attorney to ascend to the Bench. She follows founding Executive Director William Graham, who was GHLA’s first Black attorney to be appointed as a Superior Court Judge, and Executive Directors Raymond Norko and Stephen Frazzini who were also appointed as Superior Court Judges.

We’re proud of our leaders in the legal community and on the Bench!
