Weekly News from Zion and our Ministries Under the Cross: Evergreen Academy & Nina's Place

June 4, 2025

Congratulations to the Pre-K Class of 2025!

Congratulations to our Pre-K Class of 2025 from Evergreen Academy! It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of your educational journey. We are so grateful for the trust that our families give to us to care for and education your children; and we are especially grateful for the amazing team of teachers and directors that make Evergreen Academy of Zion the best preschool around!

This Sunday, we celebrate Pentecost, the birthday of the church and the charge to bring the gospel to every nation in the world. We will be praying for the healing of the nations, hearing the words of Scripture in different languages, and singing hymns about the work of the Spirit.

Don't forget to wear red in celebration of the Holy Spirit living and moving among us!

Opportunities to Serve Joyfully & Give Selflessly

Looking for Volunteers to Volunteer from Home

A Personal Request from Kurt — We are looking for volunteers who are comfortable with the internet to find easy and accessible recipes and copy/paste them into Word (or a similar document program). Another strategy might be to use ChatGPT, so I've been told. Recipes need to be heart-healthy, low sugar (if possible), and uncomplicated, using only basic pantry staples and the variety of produce that we've shared in this space the last several weeks.

If you have some time that you can dedicate to helping us assemble recipes, our team would really appreciate it. Please reach out with a call/text or email.

Worship at Zion: There's a place for you.

This Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

Day of Pentecost

On Pentecost, we celebrate that we have been given an Advocate to accompany us. Poured out in wind and fire, water, wine, and bread, the Holy Spirit abides in and among us. We give thanks that God speaks to each of us, no matter our origins, language, or life path. Filled with the Spirit of truth, we go out from worship to proclaim the saving power of Christ’s love and the freedom of God’s grace with all the world.

Sunday's bulletin can be found here.
