We were delighted with the response for our 2020 Marketing Awards! Considering the challenging year we've shared, we thank members and partners for their contributions and continued support. Now, join us in the celebrations...
Leading the way in the less than $200,000 category this year with two wins was the City of Moose Jaw. They take home the Recovery Project/Plan award, which was introduced this year to acknowledge the ongoing challenges and difficulties of marketing through a pandemic. The judges noted that their 'Moose Jaw in Recovery' campaign included an "exceptional use of social media," which further contributed to the impact of this important initiative. For their Brand Identity/Application win, the judges commented again on an "exceptional execution" as well as a "truly unique logo" in their 'Notoriously Collaborative' submission.
The creative responses were woven into additional winning projects, including the Municipality of South Dundas' Promotional Item win for their Welcoming Facemasks, which our judges praised for being a "a way to welcome versus a barrier to a welcoming smile." The personal touch was also a common theme amongst winners, with projects from the Town of Fox Creek, the Town of Shelburne and the winning video from Neskonlith Indian Band & O'Leary and Associates all being acknowledged for bringing a sense of shared community together.
Along with these values being core to the standout achievements this year, the City of Swift Current, the Town of Vermillion and the Town of Paradise were celebrated for their attention to detail, and taking a fresh approach to their respective projects that demonstrated a true focus on their audiences.
We celebrate all the winning projects from 2020 and congratulate you on rising to the challenges of a difficult year and continuing to inspire us.
