For the Betterment of the World

This spring, Baha’i’s around the world are holding a series of conferences with a threefold purpose: to enjoy fellowship with friends of diverse faiths and backgrounds, to explore ways to work together to build more vibrant communities that contribute to the well-being of every person, and to examine Baha’u’llah’s vision for humanity and reflect on how it has, during the past century, inspired Baha’is to work on building unity among the peoples of the world.

June 11-12 at Houston Baha'i Center, 2419 Fannin Street, Houston, TX.

Food Pantry Needs
Interfaith Food Pantry
Each month, Interfaith Food Pantry feeds more than 1,400 individuals. In addition to serving the families that visit Interfaith every day, the Food Pantry also serves homebound seniors. Students are out of school and home for summer, and our Food Pantry needs are increasing in order to feed these children.

Consider hosting a food drive or donating food to Interfaith Food Pantry. For more information, contact Interfaith at 281-367-1230. Food donations can be dropped off at Interfaith Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 4PM.
Disaster Response Coordination
Hurricane Season is approaching as of June 1 and Interfaith is ready to serve our community in Disaster Response Coordination. A comprehensive disaster response plan has been implemented by Interfaith to assist member congregations in responding to any recovery need that may befall our Gulf Coast region.

When Hurricane Harvey hit in 2017, Interfaith was called upon to provide county-wide coordination. The lessons learned from Harvey recovery are now incorporated in this response plan. When a storm hits Montgomery County/The Woodlands, member congregations can secure firsthand knowledge on how to coordinate with Interfaith to marshal resources in rebuilding lives and community in the spirit of God’s redeeming love.
