What a busy few weeks it has been at Congregation Ner Tamid. We had back-to-back B'nei Mitzvahs, our annual Scout Shabbat service, and just this last weekend a Parent's Night Out event sponsored by our Ner Tamid Youth Group. Thanks to everyone who made these events possible through their volunteerism. It was great to see so many people at these events and seeing the community come together to make them happen. Look at our calendar for more exciting events coming up that you can attend or help make happen.
On a different note, I wanted to let everyone know that Elaine Gutenstein, the current principal of the Religious School, has decided to step down at the end of the school year. She has done a tremendous job building upon the religious school foundation and setting it up for continued success. Thank you Elaine for
all of your help over the years and we look forward to your continued involvement at Congregation Ner Tamid.
As such,
we are actively looking for candidates to step into this role.
This is a great mitzvah for the congregation and the religious school. I would encourage anyone that is interested in this
role
to please reach out to Bob Huebsch, Director of
on to any candidate you think may be interested.
At noon
on March 3, we will have our first Town Hall of the new y
ear at CNT. I would like to invite all members to this meeting. My intentions are to have this type of a meeting quarterly throughout the year, with the exception of the quarter when the annual meeting is held. In this first meeting, we will be providing updates on the Principal search, where we are with the space committee, as well as a financial review. Additionally, we will follow-up on some of the items that came out of the town hall held late last year. This will also be an opportunity to discuss new ideas or other feedback. The board and I are anxious to hear from you. Please mark this date on the calendar and plan on attending.
Finally, this Friday, there will be a Dine and Discuss with Rabbi Prass event at 6:30 pm at CNT. See event info for more details. Hope to see everyone there. Have a great rest of the week.

Meet Your Board
With the start of the new year underway, we wanted to take some
time to profile our Board. For the next several weeks, we'll share a short bio on a Board member. You might find you share a common passion!
Melissa Adelman, Director at Large
We're kicking off our "Meet Your Board" column with Melissa Adelman. Melissa
is a native Atlantan, and runs the legal
department at AdvancED (an education non-profit). Her masters is in Forensic Science, and in a different life she used to be a Forensic Investigator. A big sports fan, she says she could watch sports all day, every day - perhaps all the while eating her favorite foods, tater tots and chips and cheese dip! She writes "I LOVE my Atlanta Braves", and is also a huge college basketball fan, and roots for the UNC Tarheels. Melissa's bucket list: spending a month in Australia/New Zealand; going to law school, and learning to speak Spanish.
