I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. As we head into the busy holiday season and close out 2019, I wanted to take some time to thank our members for their continued financial support. Without this support, we are not able to provide a place of worship in the local community and a religious school for our children to receive their Jewish education. So, THANK YOU! I would also like to thank those in the community who have come to one of our events
or made financial donations to help sustain CNT. We appreciate
your participation and support and ask you to consider becoming a member in the new year. New member growth will help us remain
an option for the Jewish community in our area. Finally, I would like to thank Rabbi Prass and all of the volunteers that help CNT run. From the board, to the leaders of our religious school, to our various committees that ensure we have Friday night services each week, High Holiday services, a Passover Seder, numerous membership events, a weekly newsletter, our bills paid on time, a clean synagogue building, and everything else in between, or just pitching in to help wherever help is needed, you all are amazing! Your support of CNT is very much appreciated! THANK YOU!
As I look back on my first year as president of CNT, I am proud of how the board has worked together this year to help strengthen CNT as a community. Although there have been challenges, we have stuck together and remained positive in support of CNT. I am optimistic about what the new year will bring as we add new members to the board. We thank those who have served on the board for many years who will be stepping down from their roles. I encourage all of our members to join us on Saturday, December 14,
for a fun year-end event. See below for more details and RSVP to the Evite so we have an accurate count for dinner.
I will close with a few reminders of some other upcoming events.
We will continue to have services each Friday night in December including a Dine and Discuss with the Rabbi on December 13
(see below). Additionally, we will be resuming our walks/hikes on Sunday mornings for the rest of December beginning this Sunday, December 8
. We will meet at CNT at 9 am, and encourage everyone interested in getting a little exercise on Sunday morning to join us. We generally decide the course we take and length of walk based on those who attend. There are so many trails and options at the Kennesaw National Battlefield Visitor Center. Finally, I hope everyone will join us for our annual Menorah Lighting at the Marietta Square on Saturday, December 28
(rain date Sunday, December 29
). This is a community-wide event that I hope everyone will come out and support. See details below. If you are interested in helping out, please reach out to
[email protected]
.
Have a great rest of the week and I hope to see you at an upcoming event. -
Brad Seitel,
President

CNT YEAR END
FAMILY CELEBRATION
Please join us for our end of the year festivities including a Havdalah service led by Rabbi Prass with a Chinese dinner to follow.
We will be announcing the new board members and thanking those whose terms are coming to an end. Then we will open the floor for discussion.
It's been a busy year and next year will be even busier.
Our new board will be meeting in January to plan out the year, and would love to hear any suggestions or feedback.
As part of the celebration, our Youth Group (NERTY) will be having its annual dreidel tournament and Hanukkah get together. Be on the lookout for more information on this fun night.
Please RSVP to the Evite with the number of adults & children attending.
We're looking forward to seeing you there!
