The Message this Week

Preaching Text: Philippians 2:1-13

Being like Jesus! In a passage known as the 'Christ Hymn' in Philippians, Paul celebrates the humility and humanness of Christ and invites us to live like Jesus.

Holy God, we are invited to live like Jesus, with humility and obedience. This is a hard thing to do, Lord. Please help us! In Jesus' name, Amen.

WONDERING...

Real questions from real people to learn more about faith.

The Sanctuary renovation will begin next week! Beginning the weekend of May 23/24, worship will take place downstairs in Fellowship Hall. You can still enter through the front doors and either take the stairs or the elevator down to the basement. Service times will remain the same (Saturday at 5PM, Sunday at 9AM and 10:30AM). The 10:30AM service will continue to be livestreamed. The Nursery will remain open as well and welcomes children ages 1-5 years.

  • Show us where we are blind to ourselves and ignorant of the harm we do to others, and make us a blessing rather than a burden to those we serve.
  • Help us to care for our beloved creation.
  • Unite our fractured communities, nations, and world in a shared commitment to the rights and flourishing of each and every living thing.
  • Christ of suffering and pain, of resurrection and restoration, be close to those who need to know your healing presence, especially Jim Erickson and Norm Loboda.
  • Hearten us by the steadfast example of your saints and join us in eternal communion when our race is completed.

Hear all our prayers, spoken and unspoken, and gather them into your loving arms, for the sake of our risen savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
