Good afternoon, HBIC family!

On Sunday, July 27, we gathered for a meeting with the church board leadership about a few important updates! In case you missed it, we'll share a summary and invitation to respond here.

Four main items were addressed at the meeting:

• Rebuilding - Aaron Johnston, our Facility Manager, shared building plans for the upstairs office area, the children's wing, and the youth/open areas.
• A new addition to the rebuilding plans is the need to replace the parking deck to rectify leaks and ceiling damage. This will be a significant additional expense on top of the rebuilding and renovation plans already in place. Estimates for all of the construction work will be delivered soon.

• Children's Ministry Task Force - A task force of experienced educators have met with children's ministry volunteers and parents over the last several months. At the meeting, they reported their findings, which included some goals for the ministry and church moving forward.

• Budget - Rodney Sauder, our church treasurer, shared that we are currently in a healthy place financially. Thank you for your faithful giving towards the mission of the church and joining us in blessing our neighbors near and far!

• PEAK Coaching and Survey - We are partnering with PEAK to work on longer-term planning this fall. Your voice matters! Play an important part in our HBIC future planning by taking a church-wide survey as a part of this coaching process by August 18.
