NORTHWEST REGION

SOUTHWEST REGION
The Prince of Peace Winter Shelter in Cincinnati, Ohio serves the homeless by providing shelter for those who cannot make it to other cold shelters, and is open from 9:00 pm to 7:00 am every night starting December 14, 2019 through March 7, 2020. Your financial support is needed. To donate online to the Prince of Peace Winter Shelter, go to:  https://poplcmscinci.org/winter-shelter.html  or send donations to: Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1528 Race Street, Suite 4, Cincinnati, OH 45202. $11 provides housing for one person for one night. Specific items requested include:

  • Clothing items needed: Backpacks, blankets, socks, coats, hats and gloves
  • Household items needed: Paper towels, Lysol spray, bleach, vinegar
  • Personal items needed: Deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, travel size shampoo, soap, women's hygiene products
  • Shelter items needed: Coffee, 8-oz styrofoam coffee cups, 9 inch styrofoam plates, plastic spoons, plastic knives, plastic forks, napkins, sugar, coffee creamer (powdered)

Volunteers are always needed and welcome. At this time, he is looking for a van drive for his Kids Church.

NORTH CENTRAL REGION
The Tallmadge Lutheran Church Chancel Choir was selected to perform in the “Sing Christmas Dreams” concert at Carnegie Hall on November 17, 2019. The concert was produced by Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY), and featured performances of three choral cantatas which highlighted the birth of Jesus Christ. Each choir had 275 church choristers gathered from around the country. TLC had the honor of representing Ohio while performing Mary McDonald and Joel Raney’s work, “Sing Christmas.”  Read More
NORTHEAST REGION
The Redeemer Crisis Center, 2970 W. 30th Street in Cleveland, Ohio would appreciate your assistance with their Christmas Bag Packing on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 6;30 PM (which begins with a pizza supper). The following donations are needed :

Board Games (Trouble; Sorry; Uno; Connect 4; etc.) ; personal hygiene items (Axe body spray for boys and Bath/Body sprays for girls); and Christmas wrapping paper before Friday, December 13th.

50 Bed Pillow Cases are needed for pillows before Friday, December 13th. Blankets are also needed.

Thanks to all who are able to help!

The CCC3 Hunger Center that St. John-Nottingham (SJN) in Cleveland administers served 170 x Seniors, 262 x Adults, and 179 x Children. SJN also provided Mt Calvary-Cleveland and St John-South Euclid with food for numerous families. With managing nearly 100 volunteers, SJN served 679 Hot Meals through the Salvation Army.
